Millie Bobby Brown discusses the impending conclusion of Stranger Things, expressing her readiness to bid farewell to her character Eleven. Speaking in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Brown eagerly anticipates the future, as the show’s upcoming fifth season marks its final installment.
“I feel prepared. It has been a significant part of my life, akin to graduating high school or reaching senior year,” she conveys to the outlet. “The readiness to move forward, bloom, and thrive is coupled with gratitude for the experiences thus far. Nevertheless, it’s time to forge my own path and embrace my own journey.”
In tandem, Brown aligns herself with her co-star David Harbour’s sentiments regarding the series’ conclusion. Despite his deep fondness for his role as Eleven’s paternal figure, Jim Hopper, Harbour asserted earlier this year that the show should conclude while still cherished.
“It’s quite ironic that when I began the show, the thought of it ending never crossed my mind. Such is my attachment to the series. I genuinely believe it’s an outstanding show, even if my presence in it were not a factor,” he articulates in an interview with Discussing Film. “Approaching almost nine years since the debut season’s filming, I concur that it’s an appropriate juncture for its closure.”
Although the actors are prepared to bid adieu to the realm of Hawkins, an ongoing writers and actors strike has resulted in a halt in the production of the series’ final season. Netflix is yet to reach a resolution, leaving the commencement of production shrouded in uncertainty.
Furthermore, Netflix is venturing into the realm of animation, developing a series rooted in the universe of Stranger Things, crafted by the Duffer Brothers. The extent of involvement of the live-action series actors in the animated adaptation remains uncertain.
