The public has responded positively to Amazon Prime Video’s criticism of Netflix’s recent enforcement against password-sharing. Netflix has started enforcing its policy to limit the sharing of passwords among users.
Prime Video UK took a jab at Netflix by tweeting a screenshot of its profile selection page with a humorous message, stating, “Everyone who has our password.” This tweet was a direct response to a tweet from Netflix in 2017 that claimed, “Love is sharing a password,” which now appears ironic.

Prime Video’s straightforward comment was greatly appreciated by dissatisfied Netflix users in full.
Netflix has been sending emails to its users, notifying them that sharing accounts with individuals outside of their household is a violation of the terms and conditions. In case account sharing is suspected, users are presented with two choices: either transfer their profile to a new subscription paid for by another person or purchase an additional membership at $7.99/£4.99 per month for each new member.
The latter option grants the “extra member” their own separate account and password.
