Stephen Webb and his husband, Daniel Lustig, well-known for their appearances on the popular Channel 4 show ‘Gogglebox,’ have made the decision to leave the show. Stephen, who has been a part of ‘Gogglebox’ since its inception, confirmed their departure in a heartfelt Instagram post. In their statement, they expressed gratitude to Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for the wonderful experience and to the show’s cast, crew, and fans for their support over the years.
In his Instagram post, Stephen referred to his decade-long journey on the show as “incredible.” He also shared a video message with their followers, thanking them for their love and support and jokingly inviting them to visit their salon for a haircut. He signed off by mentioning the upcoming episode of the current series.
Fellow ‘Gogglebox’ star Izzi Warner expressed her sadness at their departure, while co-stars Simon and Jane Minty sent their best wishes.
Studio Lambert and Channel 4 released a statement acknowledging Stephen and Daniel’s departure, recognizing their significant contribution to the show since its inception in 2013.
Stephen originally appeared on the show with his ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed, who left in 2018 following their breakup. Stephen’s mother, Pat, briefly joined him on the show until Daniel Lustig-Webb became a permanent cast member.
Stephen and Daniel got married in a romantic ceremony in France in July 2018, two years after Stephen proposed at the Taj Mahal in India.
